How to Duplicate a Page Inside a PDF

Written by The PixelResize Team

Sometimes you need the same PDF page more than once. A blank form you want to fill in several times, a label or ticket to print in a batch, a certificate template, or a placeholder page repeated through a document. Rather than exporting the page and re-merging it, you can simply duplicate it in place.

This short guide covers why you'd duplicate a page, where the copies go, and how to do it without uploading your file.

Duplicate PDF Pages

Copy any page and repeat it inside the same PDF.

When duplicating pages helps

The most common case is forms. If you have one blank form and need five completed copies, duplicating the page five times gives you a single PDF ready to fill or print. The same goes for labels, tickets, name cards and certificates — anything where you want multiples of an identical page.

It's also handy for templates: repeat a layout page as the starting point for several sections you'll edit later.

Where the copies land

A duplicated page is inserted directly after the page you copied, so the document stays easy to follow. Duplicate the same page again, or duplicate the copies, to build up as many repeats as you need. If a copy ends up somewhere you don't want, the Rearrange PDF tool can move it.

Made one too many? Removing a page is a single click, so it's easy to land on exactly the right number of copies.

Copies are exact and lossless

Each duplicate is a faithful reproduction of the original page — identical text, images and resolution, with no re-compression. The rest of the document is untouched.

Duplicating privately in your browser

PixelResize duplicates PDF pages on your device with pdf-lib, showing thumbnails so you can see what you're copying. Nothing is uploaded. Add the copies you need, trim any extras, and save the updated PDF.

Key takeaways

  • Duplicating suits forms, labels, tickets, certificates and templates you need in multiples.
  • A copy is inserted right after the page you duplicated.
  • Duplicate repeatedly — or duplicate the copies — to build up any number of repeats.
  • Copies are exact and lossless; the rest of the document is untouched.
  • Duplicating in the browser keeps the document off any server.
