About PixelResize

PixelResize is a free collection of online image tools designed around a single principle: your images should stay yours. Unlike most online editors that upload your files to a remote server, every tool here runs entirely inside your web browser. Your files never leave your device. All processing happens locally in your browser.

Why we built it

We were frustrated by image tools that were either riddled with ads and watermarks, hid features behind paywalls, or quietly uploaded private photos — including ID documents — to servers we couldn't see. Modern browsers are powerful enough to compress, convert, resize and even remove backgrounds locally, so we built a toolkit that does exactly that.

How it works

PixelResize uses the browser's Canvas and WebAssembly APIs to process images directly on your device. When you drop a file into a tool, it's read into memory, transformed, and offered back to you as a download. Nothing is transmitted over the network, nothing is stored, and everything is discarded the moment you close the tab.

Free and open to everyone

Every tool is free, with no account required and no usage limits. The site is supported by unobtrusive advertising so we can keep the tools free for everyone, everywhere — on any device with a modern browser.
